We sell houses, with character

Discover the difference a tight-knit team with a focus on quality (not quantity) can make.

Agents of change

After years of success, we decided to leave a major franchise, certain that there was a more authentic and better way to do real estate. We’d grown tired of the old-school approach: racking up as many listings as possible, promoting quick sales as the key success metric, and being reactive rather than proactive property managers. So, we took a deep breath, joined hands, and started off on our own path. And (would you believe it?) others followed…

You certainly feel that there is a whole team behind the scenes working toward the common goal. Market knowledge and experience are critical, and Kathleen has masses of both.

The whole team did an extraordinary job selling our home for a result we are very very happy with.

Scott & Lisa – The Gap

Our values (and how we live them)

Team LOYLE is united by a common purpose – perfecting the process of selling and managing each individual property for the benefit of our clients. As we work towards this ideal, we’re guided by a set of principles we expect every team member to uphold and demonstrate daily.

Tenacity

Team LOYLE like to strike a balance between being easy-going in casual interactions but diehard dynamos when it comes to the work. Any agent worth their salt wears out their shoe leather, presses the flesh, and rolls up their sleeves to achieve success. Expect no less from us.

Teamwork

Ever noticed how some agents talk only about themselves? That’s because they’re essentially competing with colleagues for listings. We do things differently, because you get the best results when we’re all pitching in, rather than pretending one person can really give you 24/7 attention without a support crew.

Diligence

We do things by the book and follow industry best-practice to the letter. Relying on the latest advice and resources from the REIQ and Queensland Law Society, we ensure our behaviour as real estate professionals reflects the highest standards. This means adopting practices like only showing sellers formal offers, not non-binding expressions of interest.

Authenticity

Putting the real back into real estate means ditching the double speak. We’re always honest with ourselves and our clients, even if it means having uncomfortable (but necessary) conversations about things like unrealistic asking prices, or the wisdom of displaying Great Aunt Gertrude’s figurine collection at open homes.

Empathy

The golden rule reigns. That’s why we put in overtime to fetch you a few thousand more; why we always keep fresh linens and a leaf blower in our car boot. While we’re for sellers and landlords first, we consider the buyers’ and tenants’ feelings as much as possible. It’s not just right, it’s also good for business.

Fun

Whatever you do on the daily, you’ll do it better with a smile on your face! Selling a home or managing an investment is serious business, but there’s always room for having a laugh, getting creative, and walking on the brighter side of the street (or terrace, or avenue, or road…).

Playing as a team, winning for our clients

You might be surprised to learn that in the big-name agencies, the realtors give away up to half their sales commissions to head office. While that’s great for their directors, it doesn’t work so well for you. It breeds a culture where individual agents are rewarded for playing the numbers game. They get good at getting business (listing your property), but not so great at doing business (properly marketing and selling your property).

As an independent real estate agency, Team LOYLE frees up each member to achieve their full potential in service of your interests (without having to worry about where the next cheque comes from). We reinvest our profits into our team and in-house capabilities, always eager to upskill our staff and improve our processes. It’s all part of our mission to perfect the process of property sales and management.

Meet the crew that works for you

Kathleen Luck

Director - Sales

Hailing from Yeppoon, she credits her small-town upbringing for her sense of community and next-level work ethic. After moving to the big smoke in her 20s, Kathleen found real estate almost by chance, and quickly fell in love with the acts of service this industry enables.

Learning the ropes in a big brand agency before striking out on her own, she’s spent the last 15 years perfecting her craft of marketing, negotiation and mentorship, while staying true to her core values of compassion and collaboration. As a working mum gal and now an advisor to the REIQ, life’s busier than ever, but she still loves selling houses (and her LOYLE fans love her for it).

Fun fact: Kathleen has an extra vertebra – you might say she really has the backbone for the job!

Stephen Doyle

BDM and Director - Rentals

Upon first meeting Stephen people are stuck by his charming Irish accent and smiling eyes. Then you’ll notice his infectious humour and genuine warmth for everyone he meets. These qualities evidently weren’t lost on Kathleen, who Stephen’s proud to call his partner in work and life, and mother to their adorable daughter Isabelle. Coming from a background in civil construction, Stephen’s skill with his hands and project management experience brings huge value to our property management services.

Together with Kathleen and the rest of Team LOYLE, Stephen loves working to make a positive difference in the life of property owners and the people who call their properties home.

Fun fact: Stephen is an avid cyclist, even though he used to swear he’d never wear lycra.

Megan McCullagh

Director of Operations - Rentals

Born in Western Australia’s Swan Valley wine district, Megan’s very much of the customer service vintage (and yes, she’s getting better with age). Since making her move into real estate in 2017, she’s put her excellent organisational and interpersonal skills to good use as Team LOYLE’s wearer of many hats. Whether she’s taking care of the books, doing admin, dealing with trusts, preparing contracts, or lending an attentive ear to someone looking to share, Megan has a knack for bringing out the best in those around her without drawing a spotlight to herself (don’t worry, we let her know what a star she is).

Fun fact: Megan loves books, travel, cooking, and live music, but she’s happiest of all at the ocean.

After moving on from her perming prowess, she spent many years perfecting her client relations skills and ability to connect with people in various roles such as customer service with QANTAS, through to inclusive education within Ed QLD.

Fun fact: Nat has a deep appreciation for nature, finds joy in life’s simple pleasures, and treasures moments spent with loved ones, including her beloved four-legged companion. And here’s a heads up – she might bring a bit of competitive spirit to the mix!

Tom Norris

Real Estate Agent – Sales Partner - Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of Arts

With over 15 years as a top-tier corporate lawyer, Tom combines exceptional strategic thinking and the kind of negotiation skills you need to get the best outcome when selling your most valuable asset. By taking the time to listen and understand his clients’ needs, Tom offers tailored strategies that give clients a clear advantage when it matters most. Tom’s knowledge from renovating multiple properties helps vendors identify easy wins before going to market and inform buyers of the opportunities to add value.

Fun fact: Tom’s happy place is anywhere in nature. Tom’s current project is helping rewild his 5 acres in Samford having planted over 2000 trees alongside his little helpers, daughter (Summer), son (George) and dog (Milo).

Marie Piepke

Real Estate Agent

From the rolling farmlands of Germany to the sun-drenched shores of Australia, Marie’s journey has been shaped by a love of nature, design, and adventure. Growing up on her family’s farm sparked a lifelong passion for gardening, which later led her to run her own business, helping people bring their outdoor spaces to life.

After a stint in Italy, she made the move to Australia in 2016 and fell in love with the country’s stunning flora, fauna, and lifestyle. Now, she’s combining her love for beautiful homes with her expert eye for presentation, helping homeowners achieve outstanding results. Whether it’s styling advice, outdoor appeal, or just sharing her passion for property, Marie brings warmth, dedication, and a touch of European flair to every home she works with.

Johnny Abdilla

Sales Support

Johnny’s love for real estate didn’t start recently. It started as a kid growing up in Sydney, where he developed an innate fascination with property… and a very natural ability to talk to just about anyone.

Now a recent high school graduate, he brings that same enthusiasm into his career. Driven, resilient and quick to learn, Johnny approaches every opportunity with genuine curiosity and a strong work ethic. He thrives in new environments, works beautifully within a team, and connects easily with people: a skill you simply can’t teach these days!

We’re excited to see him build lasting relationships and grow into a long-term career in the industry.

Fun fact: Johnny enjoys waterskiing every year in New South Wales; a tradition that keeps him connected with family he doesn’t always get to see throughout the year.

Tamara Jarvis

Senior Property Manager

Tamara has worked in Real Estate since 2018, nothing makes her happier than when someone is successfully approved for their first rental. Tamara loves that the LOYLE team are very family focused and real, it’s totally up her ally – with a strong focus on small town, family values herself. If Tamara could have a super power for a day it would be to teleport just to get a hug from her dad who lives over 1,100km away!

Fun fact: Tamara grew up in Bowen, North Queensland. She has fond memories of her dad letting her get up in the tractors to “help” him work.
